The History of Maple Village Residence
Maple Village is a supportive housing facility located on Hamilton Road just west of Highbury Avenue. The building was originally built in 1909 and was a mission of All Saints Church. In 1912, an addition was built to provide space for the chancellor and choir. The original parish hall was built by the men of the congregation in 1925.
In 1949, the old church building was demolished and a new church and rectory were built in the same year. It was known as St. David’s Church.
It was in October of 1987 that St. David’s Church became Maple Village for Seniors, a retirement residence for the elderly.
As of June 1, 2011, Maple Village Residence has been converted to a supportive housing facility offering services of a House Manager, cook and security. We no longer provide health care assistance. We do not have any age restrictions.
You are welcome to call and book a tour of our facility.
